Top-8 for Jaouad Achab and Mourad Laachroui at World Championships 2017 in Korea
30 June 2017
NOT THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS WE HOPED FOR BUT A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD FOR BELGIAN TAEKWONDO
Not the results the growing Belgian taekwondo family hoped for at the World Championships Taekwondo 2017 in Korea. Two quarterfinals for Mourad Laachroui (-54) and Jaouad Achab (-63) were the best results for Belgium in Korea. But the future for Belgian Taekwondo looks bright. All fighters experienced the high level of competition in a world championship and can use this experience to look forward. Si Mohamed Ketbi, Salah Bensalah, Indra Craen, Laura Roebben, Nicolas Corten and even Jaouad Achab are still in their early twenty’s. Plenty of time to shine in international taekwondo.
